Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ServiceNow Developer to support and enhance the Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO) module as well as the broader Service Catalog ecosystem within the ServiceNow platform.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining procurement and catalog solutions including Shopping Hub, UI Builder workspaces, catalog items, record producers, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, scripts, and integrations.

This role requires strong technical expertise in ServiceNow development, experience with procurement processes, and the ability to deliver scalable, upgrade-safe solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities:

 

Sourcing & Procurement Operations (SPO)

• Develop and enhance solutions within the Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO) module.
• Configure and support Shopping Hub functionality and related procurement experiences.
• Collaborate with sourcing and procurement stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Service Catalog & Record Producers

• Design, develop, and maintain Service Catalog items and Record Producers for procurement and enterprise services.
• Configure multi-step catalog forms with variables, variable sets, and dynamic behaviors.
• Implement complex approval flows and fulfillment workflows.
• Maintain and enhance general catalog functionality beyond SPO.

Workflow & Automation

• Develop and maintain Flow Designer flows and legacy workflows.
• Create and manage Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Data Policies.
• Design automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices and remain upgrade-safe.

UI Builder & User Experience

• Build and customize modern procurement and catalog experiences using UI Builder.
• Configure workspace components, data resources, events, and client logic.
• Improve usability and optimize user journeys across Shopping Hub and general catalog interfaces.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver intuitive and responsive user interfaces.

Integrations

• Develop and maintain REST/SOAP integrations with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), finance platforms, and other enterprise applications.
• Configure and manage IntegrationHub spokes and MID Server integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.

Maintenance & Support

• Perform enhancements, defect resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Support platform upgrades and regression testing.
• Maintain technical documentation and solution design artifacts.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, and audit standards.

 

Candidate Desired Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Experience working with Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO) module.
• Strong experience in:
• Service Catalog & Record Producer development
• Flow Designer and/or Workflow
• Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes
• UI Actions, UI Policies, Data Policies
• UI Builder / Workspace development
• REST/SOAP APIs and integrations
• JavaScript (server-side and client-side)
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with ERP or financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and enterprise governance frameworks.

What your background should look like

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
