About the role
The Digital Change Journey involves crafting, implementing and ensuring the adoption of change across Digital to ensure that it becomes and enabler of BT driving change across both the ‘What’ and the ‘How’. The Digital Change business change specialist will provide the change management strategy, framework and practices to ensure that changes can be followed and embedded by colleagues in a positive and engaging way minimizing change fatigue and maximizing the success of the change. These initiatives are integral components of the overall Digital Change Programme.
What you’ll be doing
For initiatives across the Digital Change journey and Digital, provide change management expertise and frameworks:
1. Working with the Unit/Project stakeholders to develop structured and scaled change management plan that maximises employee adoption and usage for key transformation and Digital change initiatives
2. Work collaboratively across teams to ensure necessary sponsorship and commitment.
3. Work across teams to execute the change plan and track success of change initiatives and timely delivery of value, recognising when to pivot and change course if results are not being realised.
4. Apply demonstrated change frameworks such as Prosci
5. Carry out stakeholder mapping and impact assessments as part of developing a bespoke change approach to the project.
6. Deliver transformation communications and storytelling.
7. Lead in-project engagement initiatives through change champions forums.
8. Identify and remove obstacles to deliver transformation objectives, using escalation paths where necessary.
9. Role model the BT behaviours and being an active advocate and champion of the Digital cultural change activity.
Essential Skills / Experience
• Change management expertise. 2 to 5 years experience of change management, process management and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building
• Communication: strong presentation and communication skills; able to translate complex topics into simple and meaningful messages.
• Collaboration: ability to work successfully in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Project management: Handles a project or portfolio of projects as they progress through the typical stages of the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution and closure.
• Coaching experience and systemic cultural change experience desirable but not essential.
