 Position overview

The  Manager position for Centralized Monitoring Team will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of monitoring activities as part of the offshore team supporting the Global Risk Management & Monitoring Group (GRMMG) in Global Quality and Risk Management (GQRM). This role requires flexibility to collaborate effectively with the US-based team, which may involve occasionally working early mornings or late evenings to accommodate overlapping time zones.

The Manager will be responsible for delivering high quality output and work with minimal supervision. They will be expected to build strong subject matter knowledge and guide team members on different projects. They will be responsible to lead 2-3 projects with 4-5 team members and review the work. The role will require multi-tasking and managing changing priorities. 
(This is not a client-facing role and does not require travel.)

 

Roles & responsibilities

•Lead teams and conduct thorough controls and compliance reviews, delivering high-quality deliverables. Identify gaps in member firm compliance and provide recommendations. Engage actively with KPMG Member firms and other stakeholders for effective follow-up and discussion on queries and observations. •Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including member firm teams) to monitor, review and report on the operation and testing of SoQM controls and other compliance programs. Use Risk and Control matrix to support the review of Control Documentation and Testing documentation. Identify control and/or compliance failures and areas of improvement. Discuss final observations with Directors/Partners •Responsible for planning, scoping, delivery, team management, reporting and follow-up on each review to which he or she has been assigned until the action plans are finalized and executed. Effectively manage delivery of all assigned projects to ensure timely closure of projects. Ensure that high quality standards are maintained across all the deliverables and projects  •Anticipate potential challenges, address issues proactively, and inform leadership timely for necessary actions or escalations. •Maintain accurate documentation of tasks performed and prepare reporting dashboards. Draft final reports and presentations to communicate review outcomes. •Collaborate with KPMG Member firms to identify best practices for effective monitoring •Stay up to date with firm methodologies (SoQM, GQCR, CEAC, etc.), applicable regulations & standards. This includes conducting thorough research, actively learning, and effectively implementing these policies in the projects. •Regularly review firm policies and guidelines to enhance subject knowledge. Become SME on selected core topic, develop training material and guide team members on the topic. Manage successful knowledge sharing within the team to ensure proper execution of projects •Implement process improvements methods to enhance the quality of the compliance programs. Propose enhancements to testing and review procedures by incorporating automation and AI tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of day-to-day tasks. •Demonstrate initiative and a strong work ethic, consistently achieve goals with minimal supervision. Take ownership of tasks and projects, drive them from inception to completion while maintaining high standards and attention to detail. •Adopt seamlessly automation tools for better project management •Demonstrate flexibility to work beyond standard shift hours when needed, ensuring effective collaboration with stakeholders across different time zones for successful completion of projects within deadlines. •Manage successful knowledge sharing to ensure proper execution of projects •Train and coach junior team members. Review their work and ensure it is completed timely and meets required quality standard. •Perform assigned sections of the work programs to ensure the quality, consistency and timely completion of the review


         

 

This role is for you if you have  the below

Educational qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree (BBM / BBA / BCom) from an accredited college/university •Master’s degree (MBA/M.com) from an accredited college/university

Work experience

•8-10 years of relevant experience in areas such as Risk Management, Audit Quality Management, SoQM, Controls Testing, Internal Audit, and Operational and Compliance Audits. •Previous experience in Big 4/Big 6 firms is highly preferred •Experience in people management, performance management, leading teams of 5-6 members, reviewing work of juniors

 

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) •Experience with adopting automation tools for improved delivery •Strong Project Management skills •Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) •Strong understanding of risk and controls, compliance requirements, and quality standards applicable to audit firms

•Excellent stakeholder management skills, experience of working with clients and/or stakeholders across geographies •Ability to work independently and collaborate with team •Ability to multitask, adapt to dynamic environments, and manage changing priorities.
