Controllers
Controllers are responsible for external and internal financial reporting for the firm and its subsidiaries, including the firm’s earnings release and SEC reporting, daily internal management reporting, legal entity reporting, fund accounting for the Firm’s investment funds, and the firm’s compensation accounting functions.
Across these functions, Controllers use their expertise to ensure the integrity of financial information and that the firm and its subsidiaries meet the reporting obligations of a public financial institution.

We’re a team of specialists charged with managing the firm’s liquidity, capital, and risk, and providing the overall financial control and reporting functions. Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firm’s counterparties, monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, or offering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our work contributes directly to the firm’s success. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Asia Pacific Management Reporting team sits within the Controllers division. This is a very high-profile team involved in a wide range of areas/ issues that interacts with many other areas of the Firm.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include the following:
- Preparation of financials and commentaries for internal management reporting purpose, including daily, weekly and monthly revenue and expense reports on rotation.
- Produce monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc financial reports that explain moves in the region’s revenues and expenses in the context of current market events.
- Analyse operating expenses and provide monthly and quarterly expense analysis.
- Responding to ad-hoc queries from the Executive Office and a wide array of internal departments.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of annual budgets and reforecasts.
- Close liaison with other areas of the firm, including Product Controllers, Legal Entity Controllers, Regulatory Reporting, Corporate Accounting, Technology and Revenue - Producing Divisions.
- Participation in global financial/regulatory projects (systems development, segment restructure, new dashboard/reporting products).
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Qualified chartered accountant/CPA with 0-1 years of experience. Basic industry knowledge and strong accounting knowledge.
- Effective, confident communication with all levels of staff within Controllers and other internal departments, both within and outside the region.
- Client-focused and business oriented, with a general interest in the financial markets.
- Multi-tasking/strong organizational skills needed to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player, analytical, exercises good judgment with an attention to detail and a strong control mindset.
- Advanced PC skills, particularly with Excel, Powerpoint and Automation tools.
