Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4 HANA Sales Consultant to support our ECC to S/4 HANA migration project. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between traditional SD processes and the new S/4 HANA architecture, while handling the complexities of commodity-driven pricing, contracts, and trading operations.
Key Responsibilities
S/4 HANA Migration
Lead or support Fit-to-Standard workshops for SD processes in S/4 HANA
Perform gap analysis between ECC SD and S/4 HANA Sales (including simplified data model changes)
Configure and test S/4 HANA Sales — contract management, order management, pricing, billing, credit management
Migrate open sales documents, pricing conditions, and customer master data
Validate Business Partner (BP) migration from Customer Master (KNA1 BP model)
Support cutover planning and execution for sales-related objects
Conduct SIT, UAT, and regression testing for SD/Sales scenarios
Commodity Management
Configure and manage Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE) in S/4 HANA
Design pricing procedures for market-based / formula-driven commodity pricing
Set up commodity contracts — spot, forward, and long-term supply agreements
Configure price fixation and provisional/final invoicing processes
Integrate commodity pricing with MM (purchasing) and FI (exposure tracking)
Support hedge management linkage where applicable
Functional Design & Integration
Write functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements
Manage SD integration with MM, FI/CO, WM/EWM, and TM in S/4 HANA context
Support EDI/IDoc and API-based order intake processes
Work with BTP Integration Suite or PI/PO for interface redesign in S/4 HANA
Stakeholder & Project Management
Engage with business stakeholders to gather and validate requirements
Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, Basis, BTP) for solution delivery
Prepare and maintain project documentation — BBDs, config guides, test scripts
Support training material development and end-user training delivery
Work closely with the Project Manager and Solution Architect on milestone delivery
Required Skills & Experience
Must Have
8+ years of SAP SD/Sales experience (ECC + S/4 HANA)
2+ full cycle S/4 HANA implementations or migrations (Greenfield / Brownfield / Selective)
Nice to have:Hands-on experience with Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE) or commodity contract management
Strong knowledge of S/4 HANA Sales simplifications (BP model, MATDOC, vbak/vbap changes)
Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for Sales and embedded analytics
Proficiency in pricing procedure configuration, condition technique, and formula-based pricing
Nice to have: Experience with SUM (Software Update Manager) and migration tools (LTMC / LTMOM) is a plus
Solid understanding of SD-FI, SD-MM, integration
Nice to have: Knowledge of SAP TRM (Treasury & Risk Management) for hedge linkage
