Team Overview

Our Information Technology (IT) team leads all aspects of IT systems and processes across the enterprise, including data services, security, compliance, applications, automation, and end-user services. Through innovative and streamlined technology solutions, this dynamic team enables company growth​, protects data, and serves as a critical partner to all departments of PowerSchool.

Responsibilities

Description

Data analysts create real-time data visualizations and dashboards, and use statistical techniques to understand data. They are also responsible for developing and implementing data analyses and collection systems.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

• Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate, and support reporting needs across the organization.
• Provision, organize, and maintain data within the enterprise data warehouse following established standards and processes.
• Develop and enhance dashboards and reports to provide actionable business insights.
• Analyze data trends, patterns, and anomalies to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Manage and resolve data-related requests through the team's ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify needs, and translate them into data solutions.
• Perform data quality reviews and validation activities to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting assets.
• Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills while working effectively across cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant and related work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Travel occasionally, up to 5-10%, for key moments such as team summits, training, conferences, etc., with increased frequency during peak periods based on business demands.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data findings.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow established processes, and effectively track work through a ticketing system.
