Data Analytics Solutions Specialist

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
  
• 3 years of experience in statistical problem solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).

Preferred qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related, focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining self-service reporting tools tailored for procurement stakeholders.
• Experience using advanced SQL, Python (Pandas/Matplotlib) and data visualization and prototyping tools.
• Experience in developing high-fidelity wireframes or mock-ups to prototype and iterate on data visualizations and stakeholder narratives and experience defining requirements for conversational data interfaces using Natural Language Processing tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to support ongoing manual reporting activities, and the ability to perform data validation, quality checks, and verification processes.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouse environments.

Within the Google Procurement Organization, the Digital Experience team is responsible for enabling and ensuring a consistent approach across the entire GPO through data insights and agile simple processes and technology, and focuses on developing GPO's processes, technology landscape and data architecture to create efficient, user-friendly, and integrated processes and systems that enhance GPO's capabilities, streamline operations, improve user experiences, and drive value for the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting components of GPO's AI-first data ecosystem and its data reporting capabilities expanding beyond traditional analytics to empower stakeholders with high-quality insights, agentic intelligence and automated forensics that facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the functional design and development of prototypes for the next generation of intelligence hubs and 'Agentic' analytics platforms tailored for procurement stakeholders.
• Collect, aggregate, and analyze procurement-related data from various sources to create insights and visualizations.
• Conduct the analysis to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to procurement operations.
• Create specifications and develop proof-of-concept self-service tools that utilize NLP, enabling stakeholders to 'talk to their data' and retrieve real-time intelligence. Conduct rigorous quality assurance and testing of the 'Agentic' platform tailored for procurement stakeholders
• Support ongoing manual reporting activities by generating ad-hoc reports, and analyses as needed for specific operational requirements and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of manually prepared reports.
