The CX Integration team in Bangalore offers excellent opportunities to work on cloud software development and integration for SAP CX products. The team is part of the CX CTO Office and defines and delivers integrations between SAP CX products—such as Commerce Cloud, Customer Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud—and the digital core of S/4HANA via SAP Integration Suite, fulfilling SAP’s Intelligent Enterprise vision.

What you'll build-

To fit into our team, you should be passionate about software development and understand the importance of product quality and customer needs. You will work on challenging development projects in an ambitious and highly efficient team. Several technologies and system environments are part of your work, and collaboration with other groups is crucial. We apply agile methodologies, and you will ensure we execute efficiently along these principles and meet high quality standards. The role combines tasks as Development Engineer for one of our development teams. In this role you will

• Design, code, and test product features by following agile development practices.
• Work closely with architects within the SAP CX Integration architect community.
• Demonstrate excellent quality, design, development, and delivery skills in scrum teams working in short development and release cycles.
• Support DevOps-related tasks, including delivery, operations, monitoring, and support of the cloud service.
• Drive improvements in development, automation, performance, and security; leverage AI where relevant—experience creating agents and working with LLMs is an advantage.
• Apply cutting-edge cloud technologies and SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2, 2211+) best practices.
• Communicate clearly and work seamlessly with geographically distributed teams.

What you bring-

• 4–7 years of experience in Java development (Java 11/17)
• Knowledge of cloud and open-source tools; strong object-oriented concepts
• Core Java, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency
• SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris): extensions, items.xml, impex, FlexibleSearch, OCC REST APIs, Backoffice/SmartEdit
• Spring Framework/Spring MVC; REST; OAuth2/OIDC; JSON
• Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and 12‑factor principles
• Databases (HANA, PostgreSQL, MongoDB); JSON; caching (Ehcache/Redis); search (Solr)
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD; testing with JUnit/Mockito; code quality (SonarQube)
• Web technologies: HTTP, REST/OData; API design and versioning
• SAP Business Technology Platform Integration (Integration Suite/CPI, Event Mesh) preferred; composable storefront (Spartacus) is a plus; ABAP knowledge is an added advantage
• University degree in computer science or a related field.
• Understanding of SAP development processes is a plus.
• Ability to work on multiple parallel releases.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
• Ability to work in a scrum-based agile mode.
