About the role
The Delivery Excellence (DEx) Programme Professional translates DEx objectives into day‑to‑day behaviours within the capability, ensuring standards are adopted, status is accurate, and issues are managed early. This role supports DEx programme objectives to fruition; contributing and facilitating alongside Delivery Performance, Digital and CFU teams by surfacing insights that power Delivery Performance’s aggregate improvement agenda.
What you’ll be doing
Capability Governance
• Facilitate the DEx Manager in objectives: capability governance, leading the adoption of standard metrics, dashboards and templates; ensures on‑time, accurate reporting across all delivery teams within the aligned Digital capability.
Standards Adoption
• Defines and delivers DEx plans to implement DEx objectives - plans, metrics, risk/issue management, and status discipline - and displays best practice methods as an exemplar.
Continuous Improvement Feedback and Implementation
• Uses and contributes to emerging good practices and identifies systemic blockers; applies insights and data from DEx for improvement.
• Partners closely with Delivery Standards team to ensure Standards feedback is achieved.
Delivery Performance and Digital Execution
• Builds strong working rhythm across Delivery Performance, Digital capabilities and CFUs.
Essential Skills / Experience
• PMO literacy; able to read/constructively challenge status.
• Pragmatic problem‑solving and strong execution in a rapidly changing environment.
• Data confidence (metrics quality, trend analysis, forecasting).
• Strong stakeholder management across Delivery Performance, Demand and Digital.
• Supports effective stakeholder engagement by sharing accurate updates, preparing materials, and ensuring information flows smoothly between teams.
• Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on tasks, data, and documentation, contributing to a consistent understanding of delivery activity, displaying an "ownership" mindset.
Desirable Skills / Experience
• 2-5 years in programme/project/portfolio Delivery.
• Proven experience partnering with Delivery Managers.
• Familiarity with ADO/Jira, portfolio dashboards (Power BI), and metrics frameworks.
• Consulting skills & experience.
• Certification in SAFe, industry standard methodology or equivalent.
