Director - Resource Management Team (RMT)
Roles & responsibilities
Broadly, the key responsibilities are:
Resource Planning: Develop a bottoms up GDC chargeable hours planning for US Audit, Plan the phasing of hour monthly hours and required headcount in conjunction with Audit phases, planning should be in alignment with GDC’s key performance metrics, span matrix etc. Prepare a detailed planning exercise and obtain necessary approvals ontime to drive hiring process at GDC.
Plan alignment with F&A: Work with GDC CFO team and US F&A to ensure planning exercise is complete and submitted. Drive effective budgeting and program evaluation frameworks to optimize the delivery of the services programs and services.
Resource Management Experience – Deep experience in Audit business understanding, Audit competencies, Resource mapping to the competencies, understanding onboarding and training schedules, Work with US resource management team to schedule resources in scheduling system on time and tracking efficiently
Reporting: Deep expertise in creating minimal exception reporting to give stakeholders a clear summary of resource management status. Effective articulation of Resource Management issues and suggest an efficient resolution.
Automation– Be responsible to bring in innovation/Automation to resource management function to drive efficient and accurate resource planning and scheduling.

Relationship Management - Build deep relationships with all stakeholders such as US Resource Management, Audit Service delivery leaders, US F&A. US Global Deployment team to be able to influence decisions.
Strategic Initiatives - Contribute to GDC’s growth plans, provide thought leadership by researching trends & implementing industry best practices to take GDC up in the value chain. Use technology, continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.
Process orientation - Continuously engage with Stakeholders & Operations team to understand their needs and define/refine policy, procedures, or systems accordingly.
Business Development – Build strong domain expertise and US Audit business knowledge and Audit timelines (EMLC – Engagement Management Lify cycle) to enable better engagement with US Resource Management leads, BU Partner In-charge and delegates.
People development and management – Be a performance manager for a group of 50 professionals from Associates to Associate Directors and Managers; Play a key role in the development of the team, coach and act as a mentor for the team-members on the industry specific areas of audit work that could be done on a remote platform

Mandatory technical & functional skills
Audit Business and Audit life cycle knowledge
Attention to detail and quality consciousness
Strong English communication abilities (Oral & Written)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel)
Working knowledge of PowerBI is preferred
Should possess strong project management skills
High-energy, independent decision-making capability with ability to manage priorities and conflicts with prioritization skills
Be a quick learner and demonstrate adaptability to change
Resilient and demonstrate ability to lead change by effectively building commitment and winning support for initiatives through influencing, negotiation, collaboration and relationship building skills
Should be willing to and capable of delivering under tight timelines
Should be open to travel to US on short- and long-term assignments

Educational qualifications
Minimum of Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting or equivalent management degree
Project Management certification is preferred.
Work experience
12-14 years of post qualification experience with Big 4/leading Audit firms or their shared service center in Resource Management is essential.
