Job Summary: An e-commerce catalog specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining an online product catalog on an e-commerce platform, ensuring accurate and detailed product information is displayed to customers, ultimately optimizing the shopping experience and driving sales by presenting products in a clear and appealing way. The role involves tasks like adding new products, updating existing listings, managing product data, and collaborating with various teams to maintain consistency across the catalog.
What you’ll do:
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Data Management: Enter, update, and maintain accurate product information, including descriptions, prices, images, and specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Reviewing and verifying product information for accuracy and consistency.
- Category and attribute mapping: Categorizing products accurately and assigning relevant attributes for filtering and search functionality.
- Catalog optimization: Analyzing sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimize product listings.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports on catalog performance and provide insights to improve product visibility and sales.
- Customer Experience: Ensure that product information is complete, accurate, and helpful to enhance the customer shopping experience.
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc / B.Com / BCA) is mandatory.
- Proven experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or product data management.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Competencies, and Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of marketing principles, practices, tactics, and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant product/service/solution offering categories within the technology sector.
- Exceptional business communication skills – capable of conveying information clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical abilities to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks (responding to calls and emails, updating performance trackers, self-study on process updates) in a dynamic environment.
- Effective at interfacing with various organizational levels and functional disciplines.
- Adaptable and flexible with changing priorities and business needs, and capable of working with diverse teams and individuals.
