EY GDS – Application Architect - Senior Manager

The opportunity

The Application Architect (Senior Manager) is responsible for building the detailed solution(s) for Applications in Cloud Transformation context. This role works under the guidance of the Account/Engagement Partner and the Enterprise Architect. This role works 50% on new opportunities shaping in existing or new client context and has 50% involvement in Delivery.

 

Your key responsibilities

• Work with the end client, engagement partners, and enterprise architects to understand client business requirements, priorities, and the business case of the Technology Transformation.
• Work with consulting teams to incorporate domain/sector specific solutions. Have an AI first approach in solutioning & Architecting.
• Build Application Architecture by choosing the right technologies and platforms, including Integration, API Management layers & AI infusion.
• Work with the Competencies and Practices to arrive at suitable project approach, provide estimates and inputs to staffing plan.
• Work with the Delivery Governance team to analyse project delivery risks and mitigations.
• Delivery involvement as the “Solution Architect” to bring to life the conceived solution. Build the architecture, and project implementation/development/delivery framework

 

Required Skills & Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in Technology Consulting and System Integration projects
• 5+ years’ experience in Cloud Transformation projects – involving Cloud Application Architecture, Cloud Native Application principles
• Experience in working & managing global stakeholders.
• Should have driven significant business outcomes as a part of their role.
• Hands-on experience in driving Application migrations to cloud including a combination of Lift & Shit, Re-platform, Re-factor or Re-architecture
• Hands-on experience in building Cloud Native Applications, APIs; knowledge of Application and Integration design patterns.
• Experience in Application Architecture & Design for Microservices in Cloud platforms
• Expertise in at least one Cloud Hyperscaler (AWS or Azure preferred);
• Deep work experience in atleast one API platform (Apigee, Mulesoft, Boomi etc)
• TOGAF certification will be a plus
• Experience in any of these sectors will be a plus - TMT (Telco, Media, Technology), Public Sector, Energy & Utilities and Travel & Leisure
