ePDM/CAD Migration Consultant 
Location: Bangalore, Chennai, Noida, Mumbai, Pune
Experience: 5+ years

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled ePDM/CAD Consultant to lead and execute data and system migration activities from legacy CAD and PDM systems to SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM (ePDM) or other modern platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in CAD data structures, PDM workflows, and migration methodologies, with a strong understanding of engineering processes and data governance.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead the planning and execution of CAD and PDM data migration projects.
•    Analyze legacy systems and define migration strategy, scope, and timelines.
•    Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for CAD files and metadata.
•    Configure and customize ePDM workflows, templates, and data cards.
•    Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to ensure seamless migration.
•    Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•    Provide training and support to end-users post-migration.
•    Document migration processes, configurations, and lessons learned.
•    Ensure compliance with industry standards and data security protocols.

Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
•    5+ years of experience in CAD/PDM systems, with at least 2 years in migration projects.
•    Strong expertise in SOLIDWORKS, ePDM, and related CAD tools.
•    Experience with data migration tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, SQL).
•    Familiarity with engineering change management and BOM structures.
•    Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
•    Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
•    Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience with other PDM/PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter, Autodesk Vault).
•    Knowledge of API integration and automation in ePDM.
•    Experience in regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices).
•    Certifications in SOLIDWORKS or PDM administration.
