Job Description – Assistant Director | Value Creation (PE & Corporates)
Role Overview
The role combines strategy, hands-on execution, and client leadership, with a strong focus on delivering measurable EBITDA, cash, and operational improvement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Growth Value Creation (PE & Corporate Focus)
- Lead growth-oriented value creation initiatives including revenue improvement, pricing optimization, and commercial excellence
- Drive revenue acceleration through pricing strategies, discount rationalization, and value-based pricing frameworks
- Identify and unlock commercial levers across customer segmentation, product mix, and channel optimization
- Lead go-to-market (GTM) strategy refinement including market prioritization and route-to-market effectiveness
- Deliver margin uplift through mix optimization and pricing discipline
- Translate growth initiatives into tangible financial outcomes linked to EBITDA, revenue, and cash flow
Cost & Operational Value Creation (PE & Corporate Focus)
- Lead end-to-end value creation and transformation programs across:
- PE portfolio companies
- Corporate performance improvement and transformation agendas
- Drive cost transformation initiatives across SG&A, procurement, and operations
- Deliver sustainable EBITDA expansion through structurally embedded cost and operating model improvements
- Improve operational efficiency and productivity through process optimization and cost discipline
- Ensure execution-led delivery with clear tracking of financial outcomes
- Lead large-scale transformation programs (cost, operations, growth, operating model redesign)
- Develop and execute 100-day plans, turnaround strategies, and transformation roadmaps
- Drive capital efficiency initiatives (working capital, capex, cash flow optimization)
- Support pre- and post-deal activities including:
- ODD, carve-outs, integration, and synergy capture (PE context)
- Transformation and restructuring (corporate context)
Client Leadership & Relationship Management
- Partner with onshore teams to act as a trusted advisor to PE investors, portfolio companies, and corporate CXOs
- Co-lead executive discussions, steering committees, and key decision forums
- Build client relationships and proactively identify follow-on opportunities
Engagement Leadership & Delivery
- Lead cross-functional teams across multiple workstreams
- Structure complex problems into clear hypotheses, analyses, and execution plans
- Deliver high-quality, insight-driven outputs and executive storytelling
- Drive delivery excellence across quality, timelines, and client satisfaction
Business Development & Practice Building
- Support proposals, pitches, and commercial development initiatives
- Build sector and functional value creation credentials
- Develop playbooks, benchmarks, and proprietary tools (cost, productivity, transformation)
- Contribute to scaling the value creation and transformation practice
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Mentor and coach Managers, Consultants, and Associates
- Build high-performing, execution-focused teams
- Support recruiting, capability building, and knowledge sharing
Key Requirements
- Experience: ~10–12+ years in consulting, PE value creation, or corporate transformation roles
