Job Responsibilities:

• Perform effective self-testing and ensure the application meets all relevant standards
• Convert UI designs into working responsive HTML layouts
• Code CSS-based websites that are W3C compliant
• Create animations in HTML5/CSS3 with JavaScript
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Implement complex jQuery functionalities
• Work on cross-browser compatibility for developed code
• Optimize the application and website for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in Internet-facing web applications
• Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
• Experience in modern JavaScript such as ES6, Promises, Testing, Closures, etc.
• Deep understanding of Chrome Dev Tools and nuances of the timeline for performance monitoring
• Sound knowledge of UI optimizations and performance
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, AA standard)
• Strong understanding of network layer, HTTP, HTTPS, cookies, local storage
• Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Experience with runners/bundlers such as Gulp, Grunt, and Webpack
• Experience with browser testing and debugging
• Familiarity with all major browsers and the special considerations required for their various quirks
• Knowledge of Jasmine / Karma unit test frameworks
• Passion for user experience and user-centric development
• Knowledge of UX and layout design etc.
• Experience with .Net and cloud-based applications is nice to have
• Proficient knowledge of frameworks such as React, AngularJS, etc and their life cycles is nice to have
