BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW 

This hiring is for IRP Technology team, which is part of Fixed Income Currencies & Commodities Technology group in India. IRP Technology team works closely with IRP Trading and Sales desks globally providing digital solution to business problems.

The India IRP Technology team is currently taking up initiatives for building new and innovative solutions in addition to re-engineering our existing trading systems and applications leveraging GenAI tools wherever relevant. We also have a deep pipeline of business driven project requests aimed at automating trading/sales workflows and increasing our competitive advantage with our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who will play a key role in driving some of these transformational efforts from India. 

Strong communication skills and experience with AI tools are key, we expect you to constructively volunteer reasoned views and opinions in different team forums, both technically and also on how we’re performing as an Agile team.

Effectively meeting the demands of our challenging mandate requires a passion for learning as well as deep understanding and experience across a wide array of technical competencies. 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with experience in software development, building applications in a commercial environment
• Good understanding of AI tools and how to use them to improve developer productivity, and also improve existing workflows
• A solid understanding of object orientated programming skills (Java, Python, C++; or other OO technology) 
• Strong problem solving skills including good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated
• Experience collaborating in global teams and possesses strong interpersonal skills and ‘Client Touch’ 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong experience in leveraging AI tools(including Agentic ones)
• Prior experience working on high availability, critical systems
• Familiarity with Git, awareness of CI/CD and other modern SDLC practice
• Experience in modern message oriented middleware, e.g. Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Competence across other key application tiers, i.e. you can write JS even if you mostly work in Java
