Overview

Responsible for conducting verification of information that the Data Entry specialists key into the payroll system on behalf of the payroll specialist. This individual will use established guidelines and procedures to inspect daily work to ensure accuracy and work directly with the data entry team to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

Performs daily inspection of data entry specialists work to ensure accurate information is keyed into the payroll system.

Researches open and missing items timely on findings and partners with others to ensure errors are resolved and the outstanding issues corrected, while also determining the root cause of the discrepancies.

Works with internal Service and Data Entry partners to aid in issue resolution and recommend process improvements

Exhibits comprehensive knowledge and demonstrates a thorough understanding of Agency standards and various audit processes and tasks as indicated in the TARG and on the Audit dashboard through ongoing training.

Compiles data for each individual they inspect and reports information back to the supervisor or manager of the department.

Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position’s function.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting them in fulfilling their daily responsibilities effectively

Expected to lead and manage high-priority tasks and take it to logical conclusion

Step in as team lead in absence of Team Leader

Qualifications

• Graduation in any discipline - Required.
• 3 years of experience in Overall 3-5 years of experience with 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, audit, payroll operations, HR/benefits processing, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto, and data-based RCA.
• Experience providing structured coaching and feedback based on audit findings.
• Experience in quality frameworks, including COPC, ISO 9001, internal QA scorecards, and process audit frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in scoring, documentation, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and QA/audit platforms.
• Strong communication skills—written and verbal—with ability to deliver clear and actionable insights.
• Good understanding of payroll, HR, benefits & insurance operations and compliance standards.
