Job Description

Incident Manager

Manages data center operations including the workflow and processes that are performed within a data center such as computing and non-computing processes that are specific to a data center facility or data center environment. Data center operations include all automated and manual processes essential to keep the data center operational. Includes infrastructure operations (installing, maintaining, monitoring, patching and updating server, storage and network resources), security (processes, tools and technologies that ensure physical and logical security in the data center premises), power and cooling (insuring enough power is supplied to the data center facility and the cooling system is operational), general management (creation, enforcement and monitoring of policies and procedures within data center processes).

-Performs technical work, often in support of professional roles
-Requires vocational training or the equivalent experience
-Performs duties according to established procedures

Expands skills in own work area within an analytical/scientific method or operational process


Maintains appropriate licenses, training and/or certifications, as needed

Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within our area of expertise

Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods

Works with a moderate degree of supervision

Functional Knowledge:
-Requires understanding and application of procedures and concepts within own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines
Business Expertise:

-Has good understanding of how the team integrates with others
Leadership:

-Has no supervisory responsibilities
Problem Solving:

-Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval; evaluates and selects solutions from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods
