Job Title: Azure Cloud Database Administrator
Locations: Bangalore or Gurugram
Level: CL9 (Consultant) / CL10 (Senior Analyst)

Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud DBA to join our growing infrastructure team.
In this role, you will be the guardian of our data, ensuring that our Azure-based databases—ranging from CosmosDB to PostgreSQL—are high-performing, cost-efficient, and resilient.
You will drive PaaS migrations, optimize complex queries, and maintain the operational health of our global database footprint.


Key Responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, and ensure the health of multiple database technologies including CosmosDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server.
Lead and execute seamless migrations of PaaS databases.
Conduct deep-dive performance tuning and query optimization to ensure low latency and high availability.
Manage Azure IaaS and PaaS resources, including VM configuration, storage accounts, and cloud networking relevant to database connectivity.
Manage day-to-day operations including upgrades, patching, backup/restore strategies, and disaster recovery drills.
Monitor Azure consumption and implement strategies to optimize database costs without sacrificing performance.
Operate within ITIL and Agile frameworks, ensuring all changes and incidents are documented and resolved efficiently.


Required Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience managing both Azure Database services and general Azure Cloud infrastructure.
Tech Stack: Deep expertise in CosmosDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server.
Operations: Strong background in database health monitoring, automated backups, and recovery procedures.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to explain technical complexities to non-technical stakeholders.
Process Mastery: Firm understanding of ITIL processes (Change, Incident, and Problem Management) and Agile methodologies.


Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills:
Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS (Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage).
Familiarity with container orchestration via Kubernetes (AKS) or OpenShift (ARO).
Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform).
Experience on AWS cloud
