Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Olangana is looking for an Interior Designer with relevant experience of 1 – 3 years in the interior design industry.

Roles:

1. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.

2. Develop design concepts and present them to clients for approval.

3. Create detailed plans, including layouts, color schemes, furniture selection, and lighting design.

4. Select materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the client's vision and budget.

5. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.

6. Oversee the installation and arrangement of furniture, accessories, and artwork.

7. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative design solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct site visits to assess space and gather necessary measurements.

2. Prepare sketches, mood boards, and 3D renderings to communicate design ideas effectively.

3. Create comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and specifications.

4. Source and procure materials, furniture, and accessories from suppliers and vendors.

5. Provide guidance and direction to junior designers and interns, if applicable.

6. Ensure projects comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

7. Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors to facilitate smooth project execution.

8. Manage project timelines and budgets effectively to meet deadlines and financial goals.

9. Continuously evaluate and refine design concepts based on client feedback and project requirements.

10. Provide post-project support and follow-up services as needed to ensure client satisfaction.

Job Specifications:

Skills and Expertise

Graduation / relevant B.Sc or Diploma 15 years’ of Academic education

Minimum Experience of 1 – 3 years in the interior design industry

Any relevant Degree/Certificate is an added advantage

Diploma in civil / Relevant experience certificate

Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, VRay Rendering, and Adobe Creative Suite, Auto CAD (2D Drafting), BOQ- Calculation

Holds expertise in MS Excel, PPT Presentation

Required expertise in vendor management, time management, coordinating with internal and external agencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This is a full-time position based in Budigere cross. Some travel may be required for client meetings and site visits.
