What you’ll build

 

As an EOS Execution & Migration Senior Specialist specializing in Basis, Database area you are responsible to: 

 

• Co-Lead end-to-end SAP Basis operations across complex landscapes with other experts.
• Architect, plan, and execute S/4HANA conversions, OS/DB migrations, and cloud transformations.
• Manage SAP system installations, upgrades, patching and decommissioning and any of Basis/DB/Server related service requests.
• Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Provide expertise across SAP components such as NetWeaver, HANA, Sybase ASE, Business Objects, OpenText, etc.
• Lead system copies, database migrations, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and drive root cause analysis (RCA).
• Design and manage SAP deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP platforms.
• Drive automation initiatives using scripting (Shell, Python, Go) and tools like Ansible/Chef.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, OS hardening, and audit requirements.
• Act as technical lead, managing stakeholders, timelines, and delivery across distributed teams.
• Mentor junior team members and drive capability building.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and continuous improvement practices.
• Adhere to customer system delivery commitments and KPI/SLA commitments.
• Critical situation and Quick response during escalations. Coordinate and orchestrate the work between the various teams with Strong collaboration with other units within and outside EOS.
• Work on Continuous Improvement Initiatives, to address customer pain points and enhancements in the Service Delivery   
• Streamline standard operating procedures by focussing on automation enhancements.  

 

 

What you bring

 

Looking for SAP Technology professional expert  EOS execution specialist & Migration Expert  – Basis & DB Expert for the Enhanced Operations Service (EOS) team, should be  well versed in delivering consistent and high-quality results & contributing to SAP's strategy by supporting our customers with their SAP S/4HANA adoption on their path to the Intelligent Enterprise.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 9+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and architecture.
• Strong expertise in SAP HANA, NetWeaver, Sybase ASE, and related technologies.
• Proven hands-on experience in S/4HANA conversions and OS/DB migrations.
• Hands-on experience with hyperscaler cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and Linux Pacemaker.
• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, proxies) and storage concepts.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Go).
• Experience with ITIL framework and service management processes.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and OS hardening.
• Hands-on experience with working on System Copies, DB export-import, and disaster recovery strategy, Client administration, Application upgrades and migrations is essential.
• SAP certifications in S/4HANA conversion and OS/DB migration.
• Experience with SAP Private/Public Cloud or managed services environments.
• Exposure to tools like OpenText, SAP Cloud Connector, IDM, TREX, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Customer-first mindset with a focus on service excellence.
• Ability to work with geographically distributed teams.
• Critical situation and project handling experience.

RISE with SAP delivered by EOS, The ECS - Enhanced Operation Services (EOS) Delivery is part of Global Cloud Operation. This is a dedicated team which will focus on leading and optimizing strategic customers’ end-to-end delivery and operation model, during the customer’s cloud transformation journey. We provide a spectrum of cloud deployment options for our customers with our own infrastructure, our partners and through public cloud infrastructures.
