Team Overview​
At KPMG, within the Engineering service line, we are seeking a highly skilled software engineer The role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the application using Azure cloud services. This includes creating Enterprise UI, APIs and containerizing the application using the principles of microservice architecture.​

Roles & responsibilities

• Your primary role would be to provide best fit architectural solutions for one or more projects.
• You would also provide technology consultation and assist in defining scope and sizing of work.
• You would implement solutions, create technology differentiation and leverage partner technologies.
• Additionally, you would participate in competency development with the objective of ensuring the best-fit and high-quality technical solutions.
• You would be a key contributor in creating thought leadership within the area of technology specialization and in compliance with guidelines and policies.
• Knowledge of architectural design patterns, performance tuning, database and functional designs.
• Hands-on experience in Service Oriented Architecture.
• Ability to lead solution development and delivery for the design solutions.
• Experience in designing high level and low-level documents is a plus.
• Good understanding of SDLC is a pre-requisite.
• Awareness of latest technologies and trends.
• Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate
  

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience in building responsive and interactive UI solutions using modern front-end technologies like Angular or React.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and API gateways.
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience working on software-as-a-service (SaaS), large scale distributed systems and relational/No-SQL databases.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Experience leading a team of software engineers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills: proven ability to lead both vertically and horizontally to achieve results; thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment and do what it takes to deliver results.

 

Preferred technical & functional skills

• Generative AI Concepts: Understanding of Generative AI principles, Large Language Models (LLMs), and their potential applications.
• Gen AI Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks or APIs for building Gen AI applications (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI API, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI).

Educational qualifications ​

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.​ ​

 

Work experience​

• 10+ years of progressive experience in software architecture and development, including significant leadership roles managing teams, driving end-to-end solution delivery, and overseeing complex projects in Java full stack technologies.
