Strategic Leadership & Governance

• Define and execute the SAP technical strategy aligned with enterprise IT and business goals.
• Lead SAP infrastructure planning, capacity management, and technology roadmap creation.
• Establish governance, standards, and best practices for SAP Basis operations.
• Partner with senior IT leadership, vendors, and cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and compliance.

SAP Platform Management

• Oversee the administration and optimization of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, BTP, PO, Solution Manager, and other SAP systems.
• Ensure high system availability, performance, and resilience across global SAP landscapes.
• Lead OS/DB migrations, S/4HANA conversions, cloud migrations, and large-scale multi-system upgrades.

Operations & Delivery Excellence

• Manage the SAP Basis team, providing direction, mentoring, and performance management.
• Ensure seamless operations including monitoring, maintenance, transports, patching, and incident resolution.
• Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Implement ITIL-driven processes for change, incident, and problem management.

Cloud, Security & Compliance

• Lead SAP workloads on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) including architecture, monitoring, and optimization.
• Oversee SAP security: user access, roles, GRC, SSO, certificates, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with SAP, hosting partners, implementation vendors, and support partners.
• Drive contract negotiations, SLAs, and service delivery performance.
• Collaborate with business leadership, project teams, and auditors on key initiatives and governance forums.

Project & Program Leadership

• Lead major SAP technical programs such as cloud migrations, version upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
• Provide architectural oversight for new SAP implementations and integrations.
• Ensure deliverables, timelines, budgets, and risks are effectively managed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12+ years of SAP Basis experience, including 4–6 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Deep expertise in SAP Basis, HANA database, Linux/Unix, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Hands-on experience with: SUM/DMO, SWPM, S/4HANA conversions, support packs, kernel upgrades.
• Strong understanding of networking, load balancing, high availability, clustering, and DR setup.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proven experience in running large-scale SAP landscapes and global operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Certified Technology Associate (SAP Basis or HANA).
• Experience with SAP BTP, SAP CPI, Web Dispatcher, and Fiori architecture.
• Experience implementing automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, scripting).
• Exposure to ITIL, COBIT, or enterprise architecture frameworks.
