Team: KGS KIP Team (Advisory Technology)

Location: Bangalore/Gurugram

Experience: 6-8 years

 

Role Summary: As a Project Manager, you will be crucial in the successful delivery of technology and business change initiatives within KPMG. This role requires proven project management capabilities to ensure projects are executed efficiently, within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards, all while adhering to KPMG's robust governance and procedural guidelines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects or significant workstreams within larger programmes, utilising appropriate project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget tracking.
    • Monitor project progress, identify and manage deviations from plan, and ensure project deliverables meet objectives.
    • Provide timely and accurate weekly project status reports to the Portfolio Lead, highlighting progress, current forecasts, and any critical path concerns.
    • Actively identify, assess, and track project risks and issues, escalating appropriately and assisting in the development and implementation of mitigation and contingency plans.
    • Ensure that project activities comply with established risk management procedures.
    • Ensure all project activities strictly adhere to KPMG's internal policies, procedures, and quality standards.
    • Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements within project delivery.
    • Track and report on project expenditures, resource utilisation, time, and costs against approved budgets, identifying variances and supporting corrective actions.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with project stakeholders, including project team members, key business users, and functional leads.
    • Facilitate effective communication to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Prepare and maintain essential project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to required standards.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6-8 years of demonstrated experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering IT and/or business change projects.
  • Qualifications: A Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner, PMP, Agile certification) is desirable. Proven experience working within a structured project delivery environment is essential.
