Role Linux Server Administrator
Level P2 L2 Execution with Troubleshooting
Location Offshore Onsite as per project requirement
Role Overview
The Linux Server Administrator P2 is responsible for execution of Linux server administration migration activities and daytoday operations across enterprise environments The role requires strong handson expertise in Linux OS management storage filesystem administration user access control patching and operational support across hybrid infrastructure OnPrem VMware Cloud
Key Responsibilities
1 Linux Server Administration Operations
Perform server restarts health checks and basic troubleshooting
Manage installation and removal of software packages RPMYUMAPT
Execute patching activities for Linux servers as per defined schedules
Support snapshot creation and restore operations
Perform backup and restore of servers and data
2 Filesystem Storage Management
Perform file system creation and updates ext4 XFS etc
Manage mount and unmount of file systems and directories
Administer file system permissions and ownership
Create and manage
oLogical volumes LVM createdelete volumes
Perform additionremoval of LUNs and storage allocation
Ensure proper disk utilization and capacity monitoring basic level
3 Identity Access Management
Perform user account creation modification and deletion
Manage user access permissions and privilege assignments
Handle LDAPrelated requests and user integrations
Perform SSH key creation modification and access configuration
4 Networking Connectivity
Create and modify
oServer routing configurations route addmodifydelete
Validate network connectivity and troubleshooting basic level
5 Monitoring System Configuration
Configure monitoring agents and parameters as per defined guidelines
Support validation and basic threshold checks
Assist in system performance monitoring activities
6 Backup Print Peripheral Management
Configure and support backup and restore operations
Manage printer configurations and print queue management CUPS or equivalent
7 Virtualization Platform Support
Support VMbased environments VMware Hyper V Cloud
Execute VM provisioning and configuration activities as guided
Assist in migration execution Linux workloads
