Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Node.js and React Lead to support small customers on Expert Events, including new implementations, migrations from RD, and Unified.
This role focuses primarily on the backend development of our enterprise-grade SaaS platform, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
The ideal candidate will have:
•    Strong expertise in Node.js
•    Hands-on experience with AWS services
•    A passion for building innovative, cutting-edge solutions
Qualifications & Experience
•    Experience:
o    10+ years in design, documentation, coding, unit testing, code review, SIT, bug fixing, issue troubleshooting, UAT support, deployment, root cause analysis, and enhancements.
o    5+ years in the Life Sciences/Healthcare sector (preferred).
•    Technical Skills:
o    5+ years of experience developing large-scale corporate solutions using Node.js and React.
o    Backend Development: Develop and maintain server-side components using Node.js; write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
o    API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs for front-end services and third-party integrations.
o    Database Management: Work with MySQL and NoSQL databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
o    Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks; ensure high responsiveness to API requests.
o    Security: Implement security and data protection best practices; ensure compliance with industry standards.
o    Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders; participate in code reviews.
o    Testing & QA: Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
o    Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends; suggest improvements to processes and architecture.
•    Additional Skills (Preferred):
o    Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
o    iOS development experience (Objective-C or Swift) a plus.
o    Interest or experience with React Native or Flutter a plus.
o    Knowledge of containerization (Docker) a plus.
o    Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, Sprint, and QA processes.
o    Experience in life sciences and/or Speaker Bureau environment preferred.
o    Strong technical documentation skills for both business and technical teams.
o    Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS) and cloud architecture.
o    Tools: CSM, Confluence, Smartsheet, GIT, etc.

o    Strong project management and client-facing capabilities.
o    Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams.
o    High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
