About NTAM Invest Operations-

The NTAM Invest Ops group acts as a bridge between the front end and the back end of Investment Operations supporting & servicing the Portfolio management teams & Account Management teams, RMs, Sales  across different geographies. Our focus is on controlled, centralized and uninterrupted support for functions that extend beyond those encompassed within the front and back offices. The India NTAM Invest Operations group is comprised of 3 business units (Client Administration consists of Client Communication, Client Ops Data & Fees, Investment Administration consists of Front office support & Client Trade, Portfolio Administration consists of Reconciliation, Income, Corporate Actions & Accounting. Department also includes Client Reporting, Investment compliance, Data Management, Pricing & Valuations) who partner with each other to ensure the needs of NTAM Clients are met. The NTAM Invest Ops department serves as a Centre Of Excellence and are at the forefront of leading, testing & implementing various projects across the larger NTAM department.

SUMMARY-

The individual is responsible for overseeing and leading team of Client Admin Analyst, Sr. Analyst and Assoc. Consultants on the team. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of Client account openings, managing team performance and driving process improvements. Possess a good understanding of Client on boarding processes, strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced financial environment.

MAJOR DUTIES-

  • Manage and lead a team of Client Admin Analysts, Sr. Analysts and Assoc Consultants providing direction, mentorship and performance feedback to ensure team goals are met

  • Partnering with Clients, Relationship Management, Legal, Product and Investment Operations to manage both simple and complex onboardings in a project-management fashion

  • Actively participate in the continual improvement of our client experience by collaborating with technology, investment operations, and client servicing teams

  • Act as a point of escalation for complex discrepancies and exceptions working closely with the team and other internal and external teams and vendors

  • Provide training and coaching to team members ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their tasks effectively

  • Manage account and client creation across investment, accounting and performance book of record platforms, enabling the investments process.

  • Help drive initiatives to strengthen NTAM’s first line of defense, instilling a culture of continuous improvement of policy and procedure to reduce operational risk

  • Lead and contribute to projects related to systems upgrades, process automation and improvements, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption to daily operations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain findings, discrepancies and corrective actions to Analyst, Senior Analyst and management

  • Ensure the SLA documents and DPADs are reviewed regularly and documented with the latest update

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with reasonable EQ to manage high stress situations

  • Understanding of the investment management business, multiple asset classes, and investment/financial technology systems within an Asset Management setting

  • Global perspective with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences

  • Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills; a solid collaborator with experience leading initiatives across multiple groups and stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of resolving complex discrepancies and improving process

  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring that all account openings are completed with accuracy and that discrepancies are addressed promptly

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to present findings, issues and recommendations to team members and senior management

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PBI and other Microsoft products with some exposure to SQL code analysis

  • Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and foster excellent working relationships with internal and external partners

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion of on boarding process

NECESSARY EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • For internal applications - 24 months as Associate Consultant

  • 8 years plus experience in operational or service roles within the financial services industry, with expertise in client onboarding and/or client servicing; Asset Management experience strongly preferred

  • Strong performance in complex project management, lateral collegial influencing and excellence in detailed execution a must

  • Track record of using industry trends, data analytics, and automation for growth and risk

  • Proven success in driving change and transformation across diverse groups
