Project Role Description : Translate logical circuit designs into a physical layout, optimizing for area, power, and timing. Perform placement, routing, and clock tree synthesis, ensuring the design meets timing and manufacturing constraints. Work closely with timing and verification teams to resolve any physical design issues before tape-out.

Summary:
As a Physical Design Engineer, a typical day involves transforming logical circuit schematics into detailed physical layouts while focusing on optimizing critical parameters such as area, power consumption, and timing performance. The role requires performing intricate tasks including placement of circuit components, routing interconnections, and synthesizing clock trees to ensure the design adheres to stringent timing and manufacturing requirements. Collaboration with timing analysis and verification teams is essential to identify and resolve any physical design challenges prior to the final tape-out stage, ensuring a seamless transition from design to production. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous coordination across multiple disciplines to achieve high-quality design outcomes.

Relevant experience in Block/SoC level Physical Design.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Experience in Block/SoC Physical Design in the following topics:
PnR tools like ICC2/Innovus with regards to physical/timing convergence
10nm / 7nm / 5nm process nodes
Tapeout sign-off experience is a must using industry standard tools.
Cadence Encounter/Synopsys ICC2 tool set
SDC, STA and Equivalence checking
Flow automation exposure will be an added advantage.
Working knowledge of Unix, Linux and SKILL, Shell/Python Script ability.
Quick learner with excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communications, problem solving and decision-making skills

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Physical Design.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with coding languages relevant to application development.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools to ensure code quality.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Physical Design.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
