What you'll do

In this high-profile role, you’ll oversee your platform and own and create the platform technical road map with the right architecture, solutions and commercial value. We’ll look to you to manage the tensions inherent in working through the implementation of competing customer priorities with the right business leaders and business product owners. You’ll also play an integral part in managing your platform’s risk culture, making sure that risks are discussed and understood at every step.

You’ll also be:

• Optimising the scheduling and sequencing of initiatives and achieving agreed targets for the cycle time, risk and cost profiles of your platform
• Delivering, owning and maintaining the platform operational stability and performance of technology, including the maintenance of any applications, systems, utilities and tools
• Making sure that business solutions are optimal to customer needs and the overall technology strategy and roadmap
• Owning the financial, commercial and flow performance of the platform and proactively tracking, reporting and acting to drive the improvements
• Delivering regulatory reporting and managing the relevant budgets provided

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with in-depth domain or platform product knowledge, experience and expertise, coupled with a strong commercial acumen and good collaboration and stakeholder management skills. In addition, key aspect of this role is embedding AI and data‑driven capabilities into the platform strategy, ensuring platforms are designed to support advanced analytics, AI agents and automation in a safe, governed and reusable way .

You’ll also be expected to have:

• Strong background of at least 12 years working on modern cloud platforms, data architectures, integration patterns, security, resilience and automation
• Strong leadership skills, including Agile and servant leadership experience
• Architecture, design and engineering skills
• An expert understanding of running large complex projects spanning multiple teams and senior governance forums
