Job Description

Your Responsibilities:

  • This position will manage the PMO team physically located at the GCC in India.
  • The candidate will ensure that project goals/product goals are aligned with organizational objectives, and that team members understand how their work contributes to the overall success of the program
  • Ability to oversee a wide variety (scope, size, stakeholders) of 2-4 connected projects within the associated program.
  • Allocate resources effectively to maximize program outcomes and identify opportunities to optimize resources.
  • Understand and support the strategic direction of the enterprise and associated business units, helping to guide which projects will deliver the greatest value to the overall portfolio.
  • Guides and assist Project Managers and Project Analyst in pulling together a portfolio schedule that is reflective of the best path to deliver individual projects within scope, budget and time. Understands critical path identification and management.
  • Guides and assist Project Managers and Project Analyst help them quickly adapt to changing situations, assess risks, and pivot strategies as needed to ensure program success.
  • Ensures assigned Project Managers and Project Analyst proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to the program success, and keeps stakeholders informed of risk status and mitigation plans.
  • Develop and mentor assigned Project Managers and Project Analyst and provide formal/informal coaching to build effective teams and upskill ADM personnel.
  • Ensured Project Managers and Project Analyst effectively manage scope, cost and time regardless of the PM methodology (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) deployed.
  • Facilitate the management of resources, schedule and costs regardless of the PM methodology (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) deployed.
  • Ensures assigned Project Managers and Project Analyst are focused on the delivery of the Product as defined by the Product Owner (Agile) or Scope (Waterfall).
  • Create an environment where multiple stakeholders’ voices are heard.
  • Establish clear expectations and communication channels with key stakeholders to drive successful program delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and gain alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Establish a culture of collaboration and partnership within the program team and with external partners.

Your Profile:

  • Identify and address potential roadblocks or obstacles to success, and work with team members to develop effective solutions
  • Coach and mentor project managers and project teams, providing guidance and support to improve their skills and knowledge. 
  • Give clear direction and expectations for team members, including defined roles and responsibilities and resources for training or development as needed
  • Ensure that project goals/product goals are aligned with organizational objectives, and that team members understand how their work contributes to the overall success of the program
  • Establish and maintain communication for mutual understanding and cooperation between GT PMO and IT Technology Operations. Acts as a Liaison to the IT Technology Operations organization helping to navigate heightened, sensitive and/or intense situations.
  • Establish clear expectation and communication channels with key stakeholders in IT Technology Operations organization to drive successful project/program delivery.
  • Understand and communicate Project/Programs/Major IT Technology Operations efforts to GT PMO
  • Assist with facilitating approval processes for Projects/Programs via appropriate GT Portfolio governance and approval processes, i.e. annual Portfolio prioritization.
  • Make recommendations based on Liaison role regarding allocation of resources effectively to maximize program outcomes and identify opportunities to optimize resources.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a credited institution in Business, Info System, Computer Science, Info Technology or related degree
  • Masters from an accredited institution +
    • PMP Certification +
    • SCRUM Certification +
  • 10+ years Project Management Experience along with 3+ years’ experience in a Program Manager role on medium to complex projects across multiple workstreams and/or business areas preferably application development and/or implementation of a SAAS/Cloud Base Solution.
