Job Title: Principal Software Engineer – Android & iOS Mobile Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android & iOS Mobile Development Principal Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile software development, testing, and automation, with a passion for DevOps and a systematic approach to solving complex problems. This role requires excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of the infrastructure that runs mobile applications. The candidate would apply advanced technical knowledge to deliver key strategic solutions which addresses business problems.

The candidate would contribute to building a brighter future for our customers by ensuring that our team builds the best solutions possible using modern development practices that ensure both functional and non-functional needs are met.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Independently oversee multiple projects ensuring that all functional and non-functional requirements are met.

• Utilise strong understanding of core business and technical strategies to deliver best business outcomes.

• Analyse systems and applications and provide recommendations for enhancement and development.

• Develop and deploy high quality software solutions using Mobile framework.

• Collaborate with other teams across the enterprise to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.

• Provide mentoring and technical assistance to other members of the team. Troubleshoot complex deployment and environment issues.

• Drive strategic practice development and provides technical assistance to the team.

• Assist with preparation and documentation of deployment and configuration scripts for development, test and production environments.

• Provide high level estimates for large projects.

Essential Skills:

• 16+ Years of strong experience in developing production scale mobile applications.

• Experience in creating high level solution architecture flows.

• Experience in BIAN architecture

• Experience in Microservices Architecture

• Strong understanding & working experience of Android Architecture like Clean Architecture principles, MVVM pattern, MVVM-C pattern, Coordinator pattern, Repository pattern and Dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger).

• Strong understanding & working experience of Android Technologies like Jetpack Compose (modern UI framework), AndroidX libraries, Gradle build system, Android Testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, Kakao), Xcode 26+ (current toolchain), Unit, snapshot, and UI/integration testing.

• Strong understanding & working experience of Code Quality Tools like Detekt static analysis, Android Lint, SwiftLint, SwiftFormat and SonarQube.

• Strong understanding & working experience of Kotlin Programming concepts like co-routines, collections and functional programming patterns.

• Strong understanding & working experience of Swift Programming (Swift 5.7+, Swift 6.x-ready). Should be familiar with concepts like async/await, structured concurrency, strict concurrency models and protocol-oriented design.

• Strong understanding & working experience of iOS Technologies like SwiftUI, iOS 15, state management, view composition, and performance considerations.

• Good understanding of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, build pipelines. 

• Good understating of Mobile testing methodologies like Unit Testing, UI automation, snapshot coverage.

• Good understanding & experience of Monorepo applications — Product-cluster organisation, feature module boundaries, modularisation at scale.

• AI Mindset — Comfortable iterating with AI tools, knows when to trust them and when to verify; treats prompt quality as a skill

Education Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
