About Lokal:

In 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t really using the internet meaningfully yet. Role Overview

We are hiring a Associate Product Manager / Product Manager to lead key initiatives. You'll own high-impact projects across pricing, growth, user retention, expansion, and platform strategy—working closely with cross-functional teams to scale Products at Lokal.

Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy to maximize conversion and retention through data-driven analysis of supply-side levers and their business impact.
• Own and enhance payment systems by improving payment success metrics, optimizing payment gateway (PG) integrations, and elevating the overall checkout experience.
• Design and run pricing experiments including default pricing, cohort-based pricing, discounting models, and repeat-user strategies to optimize revenue growth.
• Collaborate with Marketing to unlock and scale new acquisition channels while continuously optimizing performance.
• Strengthen trust and user satisfaction by defining and improving profile verification workflows and customer support processes.
• Partner cross-functionally with design, engineering, analytics, and business teams to execute, measure, and iterate on impactful solutions.
• Own the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and user needs.
• Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate insights into product strategy.
• Develop retention strategies to increase repeat revenue and long-term user engagement.
• Analyze user behavior and implement gamification mechanics to enhance user motivation and platform stickiness.

Requirements

• 1 - 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in consumer internet or marketplace products.
• Strong background in data-driven decision-making; must be mathematically sharp and investigative in approach.
• Educational background from top-tier institutes preferred.
• Prior experience in marketplaces or platforms with demand-supply matching problems is a strong plus.
• Ability to think strategically and also roll up your sleeves to execute.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
