About the Role

As a Senior Operations Analyst, you’ll play a key role in helping to ensure the effective control, reconciliation, and management of ANZ’s Nostro and Suspense accounts by providing operational support, oversight, analysis, and governance that enables accurate financial reporting, risk mitigation, and efficient reconciliation processes across the organisation.

 

This role is responsible for providing second-level support and services to the Account Reconciliations teams through detailed analysis, process improvement, and problem-solving activities. The position supports the analysis, testing, coordination, and implementation of requests for the Reconciliation Control & Support function, while contributing to workforce planning and assisting with process and procedure management, licensing control, user access management, audit requirements, and DRP/BCP coordination.

What will your day look like?


As a Senior Operations Analyst , you will:

 

  • Provide expert reconciliation support to domestic business units and overseas branches by investigating, resolving, and escalating reconciliation issues and unreconciled transactions within agreed service levels.
  • Monitor and manage ANZ’s Nostro and Suspense accounts, ensuring timely identification and resolution of abnormal items, overdrawn balances, aged transactions, and outstanding investigations.
  • Deliver operational excellence through process analysis, problem-solving, testing coordination, and implementation of system and process enhancement requests for the Reconciliation Control & Support function.
  • Support governance and control activities, including process and procedure management, licensing controls, user access management, audit requirements, and DRP/BCP coordination.
  • Produce high-quality reporting and analysis on reconciliation performance, account exceptions, interest claims, use of funds, back-valuations, and interest justifications in line with policy requirements.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across Reconciliation Control & Support, business units, and global reconciliation users to ensure transactions are processed accurately, risks are effectively managed, and customer service standards are consistently achieved.

• Strong experience in the relevant Business area 
• Good Communication skills (written and Verbal) 
• Computer knowledge and skills, and familiarity with applications, MS Office suite 
• Ability to work under pressure 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Desire education/graduate in finance
