Resiliency Analyst

Role Overview:

In this role, you will assess and enhance disaster recovery plans by identifying gaps, designing effective recovery procedures, and ensuring data protection and business continuity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, simulate disaster scenarios, troubleshoot recovery issues, and translate complex concepts for non-experts. Additionally, you will document processes, stay updated on emerging technologies, and recommend innovative improvements to strengthen recovery strategies.

This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

• Supporting McAfee’s enterprise resiliency program, including application resiliency, disaster recovery, and backup and recovery assurance.
• Maintaining application inventory and criticality ratings, including validating Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) in partnership with application and infrastructure owners.
• Coordinating and supporting resiliency testing activities for applications, including restore-from-backup and failover testing, and ensuring evidence is documented and retained.
• Supporting the development, review, and maintenance of disaster recovery and resiliency plans for applications and services.
• Working with engineering, cloud, and platform teams to validate compliance with resiliency requirements.
• Tracking resiliency gaps, test failures, and remediation actions, and reporting status and metrics to program stakeholders.
• Supporting audits and internal reviews by providing evidence of resiliency testing, backup validation, and recovery preparedness.

About you:

• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery and resiliency concepts, including RTO, RPO, backup strategies, and recovery testing.
• Experience working with cloud-based environments (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and understanding how resiliency is implemented and validated in cloud architectures.
• Ability to analyze resiliency risks and gaps, document findings, and support remediation efforts with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with application owners, engineers, and security stakeholders to drive resiliency outcomes.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience coordinating testing schedules, tracking deliverables, and reporting on progress and outcomes.
