SAP MDM with MM Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDM (Master Data Management) Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM) to join our team. As an SAP MDM Consultant, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of the MDM processes and data governance frameworks for our SAP system, with a focus on MM-related data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and understand business requirements for SAP MDM in the context of Materials Management (MM) and propose solutions that optimize data processes and support business operations.
• Lead the implementation and integration of SAP MDM processes with SAP MM module.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Procurement, Logistics, and Supply Chain) to ensure that material master data is accurate, complete, and meets business requirements.
• Configure SAP MDM solutions, including data modeling, data governance, and integration of MDM tools with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, etc.).
• Develop data migration strategies and execute data migration activities for material master data from legacy systems to SAP.
• Conduct data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation for the material master data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Design, implement, and enforce data governance practices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Provide support and training to users on SAP MDM and MM functionalities, ensuring efficient data management processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to material master data management, integration with SAP MM, or other SAP modules.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement in material master data management processes.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in SAP MDM and MM functionality, and provide insights into best practices.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in SAP MDM consulting, with a strong focus on SAP Materials Management (MM).
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP MDM architecture, configuration, and integration with SAP MM.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
• Expertise in material master data processes, including creation, maintenance, and governance of material master records.
• Solid understanding of SAP MM functionality, including procurement, inventory management, and material master data structure.
• Experience with data migration techniques and tools (e.g., LSMW, SAP Data Services, or SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit).
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and best practices in MDM.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with business users, technical teams, and leadership.
• Experience in managing data integration projects and working with external data sources/systems.
• Certifications in SAP MDM or SAP MM are a plus.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of SAP Ariba and SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for procurement and supplier management processes.
• Experience with SAP Fiori for material management-related applications is beneficial.
