Software Development Engineer II - Device Operating System

This Job is for a most challenging, complex, high volume and large scale project having all possible AWS services + Integrations involved, CI/CD pipeline creation and management, CDK development, Cloud application development, deployment across number of AWS regions, Tools development for monitoring and operational excellence.

About the team
Team is working on a most business critical, high visibility, large scale & high device volume project involving embedded development (Device side), Cloud development (AWS services, API, CDK, Pipelines, Container management) etc.

Basic qualifications

* 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
* 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
* Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
* Experience programming with at least one software programming language
* 4+ Years of working experience in Cloud development, handling large scale deployment
* In depth knowledge and working experience AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, EBS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFront, VPC, Auto Scaling, Global Accelerator etc.) is mandatory

Preferred qualifications

* 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
* 3+ years experience in Cloud application development, API development, Cloud deployment, handling various AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, EBS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFront, VPC, Auto Scaling, Global Accelerator etc.)
* 3+ years experience in C/C++ development (MUST)

The Engineer in this job is expected to make the design (High level and Low level), own end to end (depth) for specific set of features while having breadth on rest of the features and provide technical guidance for the Junior members in the team.

A day in the life
The following are the day to day activities:
1. Feature development
2. Peer Code and design review
3. Interact with internal and external stakeholders (Dev and QA) on clarifying the requirements, resolving the dependencies etc.
4. Oncall rotation

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
