Job Description

Senior-GDC

Roles & responsibilities 
Responsible for executing established QA methodologies, processes and test strategies that guide Agile software testing and contribute to overall quality of applications 
Act as a technical point of reference for testing best practices, tools, and execution standards.
Provide guidance and peer support to junior QA engineers on testing techniques, domain understanding, and quality best practices.
The role focuses on day‑to‑day QA execution and team coordination across internal teams ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices across the SDLC.
Expertise in UI, functional, regression, integration and system, and UAT testing.
Develop, maintain, and optimize test automation frameworks and scripts.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage across UI, functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
Lead automation efforts including planning, estimation and risk analysis. 
Contribute to continuous review processes including root cause analysis and collaboration with development teams for resolution.
Effectively communicate testing activities and status to lead/manager.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and contribute to standardization initiatives within QA.
Actively contribute to QA innovation initiatives by experimenting with approved AI‑assisted testing tools, automation accelerators, and productivity enhancements,

Mandatory  technical & functional skills
Strong experience in software quality assurance/engineering and automation.
Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices.
Strong hands‑on experience in manual testing across UI,  functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
Experience designing test cases, test scenarios, and execution strategies.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, REST, SOAP, Postman, REST Assured, JMeter, Azure Load etc).
Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail). 
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Proficiency in any one of the programming languages (Java/Python/TypeScript)
Strong communication skills for status reporting and stakeholder coordination.
Hands‑on exposure to AI‑enabled QA tools/platforms (e.g., GenAI‑assisted test generation, AI‑based test management, autonomous testing frameworks).
Proficiency in AI tools (MS-Copilot/ Github-Copilot etc.) and application into QA for building code and scripting. 
Must have experience leading team of 3+ QAs.

 

 

This role is for you if you have  the below
Educational qualifications 
B. Tech/B.E/MCA (Computer Science / Information Technology) 
ISTQB Certified.
Work experience
Total 3+ years experience in software quality assurance.
Minimum 1+ years experience in lead role.
