We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic Merchant Engineering & Solutions team.


About The Role: 

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will act as the crucial link between technical development teams and business stakeholders, ensuring the successful delivery of customized financial technology solutions. You will play a key role in supporting developers integrating with PhonePe products, ensuring their success. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, strategic business understanding, and problem-solving abilities to deliver solutions that meet client requirements, adhere to regulatory standards, and align with the organization’s objectives.

The Solutions Engineering team plays a pivotal role in supporting developers and advocating for developer experience as a key element of the overall merchant experience.

Responsibilities: 

  • Understand client requirements and design customized solutions leveraging PhonePe products and services.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and recommend appropriate products, solutions, and frameworks.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the product suite.
  • Manage merchant accounts during the integration phase
  • Take ownership of reported customer issues and ensure resolution.
  • Participate in meetings/con calls with merchants' tech/business teams.
  • Define and deliver a comprehensive developer experience for developers integrating PhonePe 
  • Develop relationships across the entire organization at PhonePe to influence others in aiming for the best developer experience possible 
  • Define, implement, and monitor key metrics that ensure the future sustainability and quality of the developer experiences 
  • Define, document, and implement processes for integration to ensure compliance and standardization across stakeholders 
  • Improve API integrations by studying current market practices 
  • Responsible for on-time delivery and overall quality of deliverables 
  • Working closely with product managers on common goals to achieve best in the class developer and merchant experience for our merchants.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of Techno functional experience with cross functional collaboration with tech and non-tech teams 
  • Background in software development in one or more programming languages, preferably PHP/Java/. Net 
  • Proficient in Rest APIs using JSON or SOAP UI/Postman tools.
  • Capable of researching, diagnosing, and resolving merchant integration issues.
  • Experience in the payments module is a plus.
  • Direct experience as a user-facing engineer is highly desired 
  • Track record in successfully delivering complex, cross functional technology solutions 
  • You encourage a healthy work environment that’s both supportive and challenging
  • You’re excited to help engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers 
  • You lead by example, by setting the right context, and by helping teammates do their best work 
  • You have Strong quantitative, analytical, and Problem Solving skills
