Senior Process Engineer

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. Could you be the full-time Manufacturing Process Engineer in Banaglore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your manufacturing and process engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a key role in defining manufacturing processes and associated equipment for new products, ensuring seamless integration with our industrial policies and project constraints. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across Engineering, Quality, and Production, contributing to product design in a co-engineering mode, and developing specifications for industrial means for serial production.

You’ll specifically take care of industrial documentation and workstation layouts, but also support production in achieving manufacturing QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Gathering industrial requirements and ensuring product specifications align with them

  • Actively participating in product design using co-engineering methodologies

  • Designing macro-processes and preparing for new technologies

  • Performing industrial documentation, including industrial data sheets and IMFU

  • Defining workstation layouts with a focus on ergonomics and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards

  • Validating product design and industrialization through FAR and FAI processes

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Technical education in a relevant field

  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

  • Experience or understanding of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering, preferably with 5 to 10 years in the railway industry

  • Knowledge of process engineering, manufacturing work instructions, line balancing, and lean manufacturing

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), CAD and PLM tools (e.g., CATIA, DELMIA), and IS common tools

  • A solid understanding of Quality, EHS standards, and ergonomics

  • Strong skills in Process FMEA and QRQC

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • A proactive and self-motivated mindset

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects in the rail industry

  • Utilise our dynamic and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning opportunities

  • Progress towards leadership or specialized technical roles

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
