Senior Product Manager, Google Home

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
• 3 years of experience in taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in a technology or a business related field.
• Experience in working cross-functionally with engineering, User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI), business finance, and other stakeholders.
• Experience in the smart home, Internet of Things (IoT), or consumer electronics industry, with the knowledge of the engaging landscape.
• Experience in building platforms or products that support a developer ecosystem or third-party integrations.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead teams through technical tests.
• Excellent investigative skills with the ability to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and use data to present a story.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy for business growth and customer engagement. You will operate at the intersection of hardware, software, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to create quality user experiences. You will act as a product leader, collaborating in decision-making across engineering, design, and business leadership. You will identify new growth opportunities, improvements, and innovations that keep Google Home updated in the smart home industry.The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Responsibilities

• Define the goals and direction for a product area within Google Home. Transform market trends and user insights into a product strategy.
• Lead the full product lifecycle for initiatives, from concept and technical feasibility to launch and post-launch iteration, ensuring quality delivery against business goals.
• Drive alignment across stakeholder maps including hardware, Google Assistant/AI, Android, and third-party partnerships. Collaborate in technical and design decisions to ensure the product goal is maintained.
• Manage problem spaces. Synthesize data from disparate sources (e.g., user research, telemetry, market analysis) to make trade-off decisions and prioritize.
• Design solutions that scale across the entire Google Home ecosystem (e.g., first-party hardware, third-party matter devices, mobile and hub surfaces).
