Job Purpose

To be aligned with our Finance Operations vertical and support Procure-to-Pay (PTP) operations by ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and effective vendor management.

The Procure to Pay team manages the end-to-end process from vendor invoice receipt to payment execution and reconciliation. This includes invoice validation, payment processing, vendor communication, and supporting compliance with internal controls and service level agreements. The team plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to financial policies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Procure to Pay value stream
    • Knowledge and hands-on experience in PTP processes
    • Ability to interact with internal stakeholders and vendors
  • Role & Responsibilities
    • Perform end-to-end invoice processing, including validation and posting
    • Handle 2-way / 3-way matching (Invoice, PO, GR)
    • Process vendor payments and monitor payment cycles
    • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
    • Support month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting inputs
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements
    • Identify process gaps and support automation or improvement initiatives
    • Maintain accuracy and meet SLA requirements for processing volumes
    • Support junior team members and assist in training initiatives
  • Coordination & Stakeholder Management
    • Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, and business teams to resolve invoice discrepancies
    • Act as a point of contact for vendor queries and follow-ups
    • Ensure timely communication of issues impacting invoice processing or payments
    • Support smooth flow of data between upstream and downstream processes
    • Assist in managing escalations and ensuring timely closure
  • Process Management & Reporting
    • Maintain invoice trackers, AP aging reports, and reconciliation schedules
    • Monitor open and blocked invoices and follow up for resolution
    • Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes
    • Support updating SOPs, checklists, and process documentation
    • Contribute to performance reporting and operational dashboards

 

Functional & Technical Skills

    • Strong understanding of Procure to Pay process and AP lifecycle
    • Hands-on experience in invoice processing, vendor management, and payments
    • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
    • Understanding of invoice validation, matching, and AP controls
    • Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis)
    • Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field (B.Com/M.Com preferred)
  • 4–8 years of experience in Procure to Pay / Accounts Payable operations
  • ERP exposure (SAP / Oracle or similar systems) is required
  • Experience in shared services / GBS / consulting environment preferred
  • Exposure to month-end activities and audit support
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
