Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Memorystore

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in developing accessible technologies.

We are heavily investing in the scale and feature set of our Valkey and Redis offerings. We are looking for a Technical Lead who wants to deepen their expertise in distributed systems, caching, and cloud performance while guiding a highly capable engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate Cloud Memorystore services, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Raise the bar for system reliability and performance as our services scale to meet customer demand.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Site Reliability Engineers, and Engineering Productivity to execute product goals and deliver the next generation of Memorystore investments.
• Drive strategic architectural decisions that foster product growth and ensure exceptional outcomes for our customers.
• Lead a high-performing team of skilled engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Coach, guide, and support the long-term career growth of your team members and engineering peers.
