Senior Video Engineer

• Minimum 6+ years of proven experience and knowledge in cable, satellite or telco industry with end-to-end system integration of B2B/B2C video services, Video Headend/IPTV/OTT solutions. Hands-on experience with video processing pipelines: feed contribution, ingest, encoding, decoding, transcoding (offline and real-time), packaging for ABR outputs (HLS, MPEG-DASH, H.264/H.265 profiles). Fluency with video codec ecosystems and transport protocols: MPEG 2/4, GOP structure, I-P-B frames, AVC, HEVC, RTP, RTMP, SRT, SDR/HDR, container formats (MP4, MPEG-TS, fragmented MP4), bitrates and aspect ratios manifest/segment tuning (segment length, fMP4 vs TS) for Live, Replay, Recordings and VoD delivery. Strong experience with packaging and streaming tooling (FFmpeg, Ateme solutions or equivalent encoders/packagers), real time ABR ladder generation, bitrate ladder optimization, Dolby audio, closed-captions and subtitles, SCTE-35 ad signalling, client and server-side manifest/ad manipulation. • Industry recognized vendor certifications on the Professional level. • Experience and proficiency with Cloud and Automation to deploy and maintain the secure and robust cloud-native solutions across leading public platforms, such as AWS and Google Cloud (GCP) – including compute, storage, networking, serverless, multi region/zone architectures and cost-optimized solutions. Network and security architecture (VPCs, peering, ingress/egress, IAM, encryption, zero-trust. • Mastery of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Automation tooling: infrastructure provisioning and configuration via frameworks such as Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Chef or CloudFormation, integration of configuration management best practices and build robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git solutions • Strong competences in containerisation and orchestration with Kubernetes, Docker/ECK/EKS and GKE • Experience with AI, ML, LLM technologies. • Deployment of proactive capacity models, upgrades, new features, configuration and releases, tools, mission critical monitoring in an agile manner to accommodate the platforms evolution and growth in line with KPIs and high-availability designs including disaster recovery. Follow industry best practice to deliver new projects ensuring defined blueprint adherence. Migration of on-prem and legacy solutions to modern architectures for on-prem and cloud.
