Job Description

Snr Data Analytics Manager, SWOTS [VRMO]

We detect and prevent fraud among hundreds of millions of e-Commerce transactions in different countries. We create a trusted store where millions of buyers and sellers can safely transact online. What kinds of processes and systems would you build to optimize our data analytics and MIS?

About the Team: We are a highly diverse team comprising individuals from various backgrounds who ensure Amazon continues to remain a safe place for our selling partners to do business on our platform. We welcome professionals who are open to new ideas and perspectives. Our team's strength lies in our ability to leverage our diverse experiences and expertise to drive innovation and solve complex challenges. We value collaboration, creativity, and a willingness to embrace different viewpoints.

At Amazon, you'll work alongside the latest AI and GenAI tools that are increasingly woven into how teams operate — from AI-powered capabilities that accelerate decision-making, to Generative AI that helps you focus on work that truly matters. You'll have opportunities and resources to develop fast-paced AI fluency , with continuous learning built into the culture.

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Leader with a passion for analyzing data and surfacing key insights that drive strategic shifts and business decisions. Operating with significant autonomy and discretion, you will drive the development of solutions to some of the company's most challenging business issues and help scale the network rapidly and safely with your strategy. You must be curious, willing to try, to learn, and to collaborate with a high-performing team. In this role, you will focus on strategy and storytelling, i.e., deciding what to measure, why it matters, and what action to take. You will build and own measurement frameworks that translate operational workflow signals, multi-channel content performance data, and business patterns into narratives and recommendations. You will lead recurring strategy sessions, write analytical narratives for global business reviews, build AI-powered automation that reduces manual reporting burden, and surface insights at scale using dashboards, Python, and intelligent agents.

You will manage relationships across a global team of technical and non-technical strategists and upstream partners (data engineers, business intelligence engineers) who support our data infrastructure. You will represent findings to senior leadership and partner cross-functionally to innovate on how we reach and engage our workforce effectively. This role requires someone who thinks critically and probabilistically — exploring what data might mean rather than jumping to conclusions — and who can build scalable systems from ambiguity. We look for candidates who are excellent communicators, self-motivated, flexible, smart-working, and like to make history — and have fun doing it!

Key job responsibilities
> Define and execute the data analytics strategy aligned to operational goals, delivering insights that drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, and performance

> Improve data accuracy of key business metrics and optimize process flows that strengthen the organization's data pipeline and upstream tables

> Drive implementation of new tools, models, and AI-powered automation that reduce manual reporting burden and scale analytical impact

> Build measurement frameworks, write compelling business documents, develop data visualizations, and deliver analytical narratives for global business reviews

> Lead and develop a team of Business Analysts and Program Managers; set clear goals, provide coaching, and create career development pathways

> Partner with senior operations leaders to identify opportunities, frame analytical questions, and deliver data-driven recommendations

> Manage relationships across global technical and non-technical teams; represent findings to senior leadership and drive action on insights

> Contribute to program and functional growth through innovation, benchmarking, and scalable solutions delivering measurable cost savings or efficiency gains through analytics
