OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer with 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in modern web technologies, cloud platforms, and containerization, with a passion for building scalable, high-performance applications.

 

As a Software Designer, you will deliver software modules by ensuring detailed design and implementation of those modules. You will interface with Software Architect, System/Product Architects, Software designers, V&V Architects, V&V designers, Project, Product, Quality, Safety team, Cyber Security Engineers and support program towards QCD commitments.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Contribute to the elaboration of the software specification & architecture, in collaboration with the software architect
• Develop software components:
  • Perform the software components detailed design & coding
  • Set up the software development tool chain
  • Specify, design, prepare and perform tests and verifications of his / her deliverables
  • Put software work products under configuration management
  • Support software / software integration, together with the other software designers
  • Support hardware / software integration, together with the hardware designers
• Sustain the software
• Keep informed of the evolution of technologies through techno watch
• Contribute to standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions, including COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf)
• Apply processes and standards
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement (RoE: Return on Experience, process, …)

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor/Post Graduate in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE & EEE or Equivalent

 

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix

Organization.

• Outstanding Technical leader with proven track record in managing multi software programs towards successful delivery.
• Be Innovative and demonstrate to peers and implement in creation of Reference Libraries, reusable codes, and model based developments.

• Flair to Learn technologies specific to Railway domain.
• Team Player with prior experience in working with European customer is not mandatory but preferable.

Experience & Role Overview:

• 7+ years of experience in end-to-end software development Java, Spring Boot, HTML, Javascript. Typescript and object-oriented design principles.
• hands-on experience in microservices architectures
• Exposure to frontend technologies and integration with backend services.
• Experience working in Agile environments and SCRUM methodology.

Technical Skills:

• Backend & Architecture:

• Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices
• RESTful API development
• API design, event-driven architecture, and data modeling
• Experience in legacy system modernization and integration with modern microservices

• Frontend:

• Vue.js (Mandatory), JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap
• SPA (Single Page Application) development
• Responsive and performant web interface design

• Cloud & DevOps:

• Solid experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Networking)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, Git, Infrastructure as Code
• Containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS)
• Good to have: Liquibase, Feign Client, Kafka

• Databases:

• Relational: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle
• NoSQL: MongoDB
• Data modelling, schema design, and query optimization

• Tools & IDEs:

• Git, IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code
• Experience with debugging and profiling tools
