Software Developer 3

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen the quality and reliability of our cloud-native SaaS platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with developers, DevOps, Functional Quality Assurance and Product teams to build and maintain robust automation frameworks, improve test coverage, and ensure high-quality product releases in a fast-paced, distributed environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python and Java for API, UI and dockerized application
  • Build and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Github action etc.).
  • Develop API and backend automation for REST and event-driven services.
  • Collaborate with developers and SRE teams to ensure new features are testable, observable, and resilient.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing for cloud-hosted microservices.
  • Use logs, metrics, and distributed tracing (CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, etc.) to identify and troubleshoot issues.
  • Contribute to test strategy and planning during sprint and release cycles.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable automation code.
  • Continuously evolve the QA automation framework to support new technologies and deployment patterns (containers, Kubernetes etc.).

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on QA automation experience in SaaS or distributed system environments.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Java for automation.
  • Experience with automation frameworks like Pytest, TestNG, or JUnit.
  • Strong experience testing REST APIs and microservices.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues early.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with performance and load testing (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
  • Experience in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
