Sr. Associate, Health, Safety & Environment Management (P)

Summary of Position:

The Sr. Specialist, HSE Data Steward is responsible for the integrity, completeness, and audit‑readiness of environmental and sustainability data across the enterprise. This role stewards end‑to‑end data collection, validation, and control execution for key environmental metrics (e.g., energy, emissions, water, waste, refrigerants), supports Internal Audit testing and remediation, and enables the annual sustainability reporting process, including CSRD/ESRS disclosures and limited assurance engagements. The position is a linchpin between site teams, HSE leadership, Sustainability/Finance, Internal Audit, IT/data teams, and external assurers to ensure timely, complete, accurate, and well‑evidenced reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the timely collection and reporting of environmental activity data from sites, functions, and systems.
• Perform structured validations and drive data quality issue resolution and document corrective actions.
• Execute defined data controls aligned to the HSE/Sustainability control framework.
• Maintain audit‑ready evidence repositories and inventory of controls, control execution plans and process maps.
• Support the annual sustainability/ESG reporting cycle
• Operate and improve EHS/ESG data systems and reporting tools.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong grasp of environmental metrics and methods.
• 5 - 7 years of total experience.
• Transformation of structured and unstructured data sources
• Working knowledge of CSRD/ESRS, GHG Protocol, and other frameworks.
• Expertise in data validation and control execution.
• Data Management and Analytics software (Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Copilot, API, Python, Power Automate)

Success Measures

• On‑time, complete, and accurate data submissions across all reporting units.
• Reduction in validation errors and control exceptions quarter‑over‑quarter.
• Positive Internal Audit and external assurance outcomes (no/limited findings, timely remediation).
• Accurate, on‑schedule delivery of CSRD/ESRS metrics and narrative support.
• Documented SOPs and trained data owners with improved first‑time‑right rates.

• Collaborates effectively with site teams and cross-functional partners.
• Adapts to evolving requirements and new technologies.

Enterprise Systems

• Familiarity with enterprise EHS platforms such as SAP EHS, Enablon, or similar systems is an advantage.

Collaboration

• Works closely with other data stewards and site teams to ensure consistent data practices and knowledge sharing.

Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
