Power Automate (RPA) Developer – 5+ Years Experience

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Power Automate RPA Developer with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud Flows and Desktop Flows). The role requires strong expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform, integration with enterprise systems, and the ability to deliver secure, scalable automation solutions.

   

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using Power Automate (Cloud Flows & Desktop Flows).
• Analyse business processes and identify automation opportunities using Power Platform capabilities.
• Develop attended and unattended Power Automate Desktop (PAD) flows.
• Build and manage Power Automate Cloud Flows for orchestration, approvals, notifications, and integrations.
• Integrate automations with SharePoint, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Outlook, Excel, Teams, SQL Server, and third-party systems.
• Implement robust error handling, logging, retries, and exception management.
• Use Power Apps to build user interfaces for automation inputs where required.
• Configure and manage environment variables, solutions, connections, and connection references.
• Ensure automations comply with security, governance, and compliance standards.
• Support production automations, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and IT teams.
• Prepare solution design documents, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.

 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience in RPA / workflow automation, with strong hands-on expertise in Power Automate.
• Deep experience in:
• Power Automate Cloud Flows
• Power Automate Desktop (PAD)
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform:
• Power Apps
• Dataverse
• Power BI (basic integration understanding)
• Experience with connectors (standard and premium).
• Hands-on experience with:
• REST APIs, HTTP actions, JSON
• SQL Server, Azure SQL, SharePoint Lists
• Strong understanding of authentication methods (OAuth, Azure AD, service principals).
• Experience with on-premises data gateway configuration and usage.
• Familiarity with solution deployment across Dev / Test / Prod environments.

   

Process & Platform Knowledge

• Solid understanding of Microsoft tenant-level governance, DLP policies, and environment strategies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Knowledge of ALM for Power Platform (solutions, pipelines, Azure DevOps).

   

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead automation initiatives.
• Mentoring and team leadership experience.
