Job Title: Staff Platform Engineer

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

Business & Team: As part of our Customer Hub, we are seeking Staff Platform Engineer to join our team to help propel our customer’s digital transformation journeys with human-centred design thinking and consultation. It is such an exciting time as we build our CBA Customer Hub technology team, implement the Product Engineering model and continue our agile delivery principles

Impact & Contribution:

As a Staff Platform Engineer, you’ll be working in a cross-functional squad responsible for the technical design, development, and rollout of key enhancements to our end-users and provide technical squad leadership. You’re constantly pushing the boundaries to help deliver outcomes that define future industry trends and your passion for outstanding user experience and ability to solve complex problems is key to developing high quality technical solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Have passion for developing and deploying high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage while leading the team with the technical strategy.

• Are ready to execute state-of-the-art coding practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks. 

• Have experience with the Full-cycle development and delivery using Agile practices with specific focus on the following: React, API design  etc

• Contributes to a culture where quality, excellence and openness are championed. 

• Have natural drive to educate, communicate and positively influence various stakeholder groups. 

• Are constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems. 

• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers, create a culture of ownership and share knowledge to uplift and improve software development practices. 

• Lead the teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Contribute on Platform design and solution artefacts at a domain level.

• Expert in Practical GenAI for engineering and banking domain experience (Nice to have

Essential Skills:

• Min 12+ years of experience in IT

• Must have development expertise on AWS Services.

• Good Experience of AWS EC2, Lambda, AWS MSK and Splunk

• Experienced in frontend tech – NextJS - React

• Experience in Backend tech - Java Spring Boot , Nest.JS

• Experience in Microservices, Restful API design pattern

• DevOps and CI/CD – GitHub Actions

• AWS Cloud – Associate Level Dev or Architect Certification

• API testing - eg Postman, curl

• Testing Automation - eg selenium, playwright, cucumber, cypress, allure

• Scripting - bash, python

• Event handling - eg Kafka

Education Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
