Senior Software Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 8 years of experience in software development.
  
• 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience with working in a matrixed organization with cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Experience in programming languages like C++ and data pipelines.

Indexing Web App team runs the applications that generate the web, image, and other large, shared datasets to support information retrieval products across Google.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and optimization of information retrieval systems. You will work closely with the engineering team to design, implement, and maintain pipelines and tools, ensuring efficient and accurate data retrieval. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic environment, managing issues related to data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization. Responsibilities

• Understand end-to-end data indexing infrastructure at Google and build indexing components to produce quality datasets and enable Google products to iterate on innovations.
